Renovating a fireplace with an insert

An open fireplace loses most of its heat up the chimney. A closed insert turns it into a real heating appliance, with 80 to 90% efficiency and front or ducted ventilation. The built-in dimensions, depth and output are on every product page so you can check compatibility before ordering.

Pellet inserts need a power supply and access to the hopper; wood inserts mainly need a good flue liner. In both cases, we supply the installation manual and the exact dimensions, and we can put you in touch with the manufacturer's technical support.
